First thing first, I’d like to say… or probably yell “HAPPY HOLIDAY!!!!” Yeay… the 2 weeks of sleep late-wakeup late is finally coming. And…. the result of my sudden insomnia attack is the tendency to write more posts in this blog hiehiheiheihi. Anyway, happy blog-ing and stay creativeeeeeeee! Cheers 🙂
http://www.youtube.com I guess most of you readers have been clicking on that site. In my opinion, the idea of creating this site is categorize as highly creative! Since this site is the pioneer of free media sharing via internet. During the summer of 2006, YouTube was one of the fastest growing websites on the web and was ranked the 5th most popular website, far out pacing even My space’s rate of growth. It might be a very brave decision to launch this kind of website as in addition as the pioneer, yet this brave idea turn to be a successful business. here are no specific criteria on being creative person, it is the result of our imagination that people will judge. The main idea is to trust your self and be brave in expressing your creativity.

YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, who were all early employees of PayPal. The domain name “YouTube.com” was activated on February 15, 2005 and the website was developed over the subsequent months.
Youtube website where users can upload, view and share video clips. The San Bruno-based service uses Adobe Flash technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips and music videos, as well as amateur content such as videoblogging and short original videos. Unregistered users can watch most videos on the site, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos. Some videos are available only to users of age 18 or older (e.g. videos containing potentially offensive content). The uploading of videos containing pornography, nudity, defamation, harassment, commercial advertisements and material encouraging criminal conduct is prohibited. Related videos, determined by title and tags, appear onscreen to the right of a given video. In YouTube’s second year, functions were added to enhance user ability to post video ‘responses’ and subscribe to content feeds.

In August 2006, The Wall Street Journal published an article revealing that YouTube was hosting about 6.1 million videos (requiring about 600 terabytes of storage space), and had about 500,000 user accounts. In March 2008, its bandwidth costs were estimated at approximately $1 million a day. As June 2008 Forbes magazine article projected the 2008 revenue at $200 million, noting progress in ad sales. At that time, the price for an ad on the YouTube home page was $175,000 per day (plus a $50,000 commitment to buy Google/YouTube ads elsewhere), and a branded channel (distinguished by a customized background) cost advertisers $200,000. Wow… imagine all those cash that we can generate using our own free sources; the brain! After reading this article, I was starting to “brainstorming” on the topic of what social applications that Indonesian might be needed? Any idea? ……Hmm
